Hi,

Inspection point is used when we need to have record results multiple times. The inspection point provides an identifier for each results recording done.

Thanks

hi,

inspection point concept in SAP u may use when ur inspection is in line with in-process type of prdn. like in chemical industries. U may use inspection point with 03 inspection type when it is in-process prdn.

u may also use in different inspection type like 04,05,01 etc. but it is as per the business req. In pm - qm integration like calibration u may use 310 for multiple RR against equipments.

Inspection points are used to record data in specific interval of time with multiple values and with individual results valuation.

Hi,

Inspection Points are used for caarying out the inspection at different stages such as time based Inspection or Volume based Inspections.

Time based inspection means you are carrying out the analysis of any product after every 2 hours or say after every 5 hours depends on business process.

Suppose you are having a product for which while manufacturing you want to note down temperature, viscosity (MIC's) every hour along with that you want to note the shift , date, time etc.

There will be only one order generated for the entire days manufacturing .This can be a 03 inspection or 04 inspection

System will automaticaly generate inspection point after every 1 hr from the inception of inspection lot.

During result recording you will get a pop up of inspection points having hourly points which you can use for result recording your MICs

Volume based inspection means you are carrying out the analysis of any product every after 500 pieces manufactured.
