I have the following situation in my project.
SAP PI has to interface with a third party Integration framework via web services. Both of these systems (PI and third party tool) are behind firewalls. so the connectivity has to be PI->firewall->Client network->firewall->Third party in both directions.
The option to use B2B gateways directly between these two systems has been ruled out. In such a case, what are all other approaches that we can follow. Can someone please share their experience of using a proxy server in the middle client network ?
As far as I understand, there is an option in PI soap sender channel to configure proxy. Are there any specific tools that serve as a proxy server to route requests between PI and the other system?
Or can it be simply achieved by the infrastructure team making some changes to message routing without the need of proxy server?
