Controlling of firefighter request from CUP

Former Member

Hi,

We are using GRC 5.3 with SP-11.

CUP will allow users to request firefighter access. While raising firefighter access request from CUP, it will show the available FF IDs which are in the system. If two users have requested for same FF ID from CUP, it will allow them to request via CUP. But it won't allow both those users to use the same FF ID at a time.

Is there any possibility to have controls in CUP, like when a user has already requested a FF ID via CUP, it should not allow the same ID to request for the other user from CUP.

Please check and advice.

Thanks & Regards,

KKRao.

Hi Rao,

As sabita mentioned unfortunately there are no such option available but you can do it otherway round.

When you are creating FFID for any module , instead of creating one firefighter id if you create two FF ids for that module depending on usage and in user manual you can mention that requestor has to select both firefighter accounts for that functionality.

With that all users will get two firefighter accounts assigned instead of one, so even if one was used by one person at the same time you still have another Firefighter account to perform similar function.

HI KKRao,

I don't think there is any option for that. One FFID can be assigned to two or more user IDs during the same period, but they can't use it parelally.

The reason behind is that validity period is minimum one day while more thna one user can have access requirelemt to the same,

Meanwhile one user only can use it at a given time becuase of auditing requirements. If first user logs off, the second person can login on the same day and perform activity. The same assignment can be done via CUP or via backend tcode /n/virsa/vfat
