SAP System copy

Hello All,

Due to electric heavy load our development sever was destroyed last night

I have only offline backup of MAX db 7.5 ,

I want to create new Development server from this backup can we do it.

Existing system configuration...was

Win 2k3 Sp1

Max db 7.5.0.18

SAP ECC 5.0

Hi,

You required the SAP software's of your current setup landscape. like Installation master of same netweavor version,kernel,Java ,Maxdb 7.5 software.

After that go ahead with homogenous system copy option.

Study homogenous system copy guide. All steps are mentioned.

I have SAP software with all requirements, but i am unable to find out the doc for Homogeneous system copy

please give me if you have any

Dear Amol,

You will get it from SMP. Search on SMP in --> installation and upgrade guides --> system copy guides.

Make sure source system and target system should have same hardware & OS.

Hello Sahil,

I am trying system copy backup & restore method i have restord database successfully but after restoration it immediately

gives following error message

ERROR 2012-02-22 16:37:55

FSL-06002 Error 2 (The system cannot find the file specified.

) in execution of a 'CreateProcess' function, line (278), with parameter (E:\usr\sap\SHD\SYS\exe\run/saplicense -R3Setup SHD IU29ZU3O TRACE=2).

please help me to solve this error

1Can you please confirm DB is in online mode.

2from command prompt share the output of E:\usr\sap\SHD\SYS\exe\run\R3trans -d

3.in which phase of system copy you are getting this issue.

Hi Sahil,

Database is online

X server is also running

R3trans - output is as follows:

This is r3trans version 6.09 (release 640 - 26.10.04 - 15:45:42).

unicode enabled version

r3trans finished (0012).

In MAX DB database installation phase i am getting following error.

ERROR 2012-02-23 09:07:42

MOS-01012 PROBLEM: 'E:\usr\sap\SHD\SYS\exe\run/saplicense -R3Setup SHD "AIAYQKFB" TRACE=2' returned with '-2' which is not a defined as a success code.
