Not able to update Data ina specific Filed in ECC from MDM

Hi Experts

Please let me know what steps I need to do when updating Data from MDM - ECC.

I have added on Field in MDM as Transportation Zone and mapped the same in Syndication Server.

But when I'm sending the Data, all Data gets updated in ECC except Transportation Zone.

Please let me know if I'm skipping some steps.

Also, do let me know if I have to add/update anything when sending the same Data using Workflow.

Issue resolved. Port mapping was to be done in PI as new port was created.

hello,

Which Idoc are yo using to update the Transportation Zone Field.

Based on this, you will have to map in to the corresponding Idoc target field.

Similarly in PI you need to check, if you are using MDM Business Content for PI, this will be XSLT Mapping.

Other thing you can check is the Payload received in PI, does it have data or not for transportation zone.

If not, you need to check the destination Item, if the required fields have data.

Do the above test and let us know your results

Thanks for sharing the inputs.

I'm using DEBMAS Idoc for sending data in ECC.

Filed Used is LZONE in ECC and TPT_Zone in MDM.

Mapping is done in Syndication Server.

Hi Prashant,

First Check the file syndicated from MDM if that contains Transportation Zone.

If not then problem is with syndication Mapping in MDM.

If transportation Zone is showing up correctly in o/p file from MDM then check in PI .

Steps:

Tcode WE02/WE05, check for message type DEBMAS, inbound, see whether the segment E1KNA1M, is populated with LZONE or not, if no, then check in SAP PI Payload, PI payload tcode sxmb_moni, that LZONE has arrived or not.

If LZONE is present then try reprocessing the as explained below.

Try to reprocess an existing IDoc using WE19, in debugging mode and see if it updates or not.

Else try using DEBMDM Idoc, make sure you split the Idoc in ADRMAS and DEBMAS in PI if you not using MDM Business Content for SAP PI.

Check if the field mapping is done in the PI Server for the Transportation Zone Field
