Dotted line for template border ?

Hello experts,

Is it possible to make border line of template as DOTTED LINE?

if yes,

please tell me to make dotted line for template border within smartform ?

I discover much more, but yet i don't get solution on SDN.

you cannot use borders and shading in a template.

rahter u can use them in windows or tables.

as such i dont find any clue regarding dotted lines as template borders.

but u can create a text in templates and insert fields in text.


&sy-uline(50) <- this will insert 50 dash horizontally.
&sy-vline(5)&<- this will insert 5 dash vertically.

if somehow u get the sol'n other than this kind then plz post.

Hi,

Select the template, go to output options,

inside box and shading, frames select the check box named lines with -> then inside preview there are various small boxes,

choose according to your preference.

Hope this is what you asked for and it solves your problem.

P.S :

Sometimes , there might be a effect due to effect and shading too, so try keeping the color white and saturation=0.

I guess, below solution may help you to close the thread.

1) Double click on the template from your tree.

2) Change display to table painter.

3) On the tool bar of your template you will see an icon called settings.

4)Go to Tab GRID, and select the display radio button as Dotted lines.

Hi,

Did you try to have a text element filled with dots (.) and displaying it in your template according to your border you needed?
