Can't create WebService from Visual Composer 7

Hello experts,

We have a problem with creating a WebService in Visual Composer 7. When we try to create it(http://host/SendMailSMTP.asmx?WSDL) we get the following error: 'Invalid Web service url'. We don't need any proxy because it's inside our net. We've created: http://www.webservicex.bet/country.asmx?WSDL and it works fine configuring a proxy in portal.

Could you please help us?

Hi Jarrod,

It doesn't work creating a Web Service System using WSDL URL in the portal.The test connection failed (Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct).

The url is correct, I can see the XML code on Internet Explorer.

Please can you give me the full URL for the webservice I want to test it here. Please be aware the full support for webservices only began from SP8.

Also, there are many examples in the blog. I know that the weather web service works in SPS7, 8, and 9 so try that one within your system and see if it works. Scott Cairncross did a great job with that detailed example.

Please can you try and create the webservice from within the portal, there are problem with certain URLS when trying to create the system in VC.
