DATABASE BACKUP TIME PROBLEM

Dear SAP Gurus ,

I am facing a problem related with the backup time in sap bi-production system on AIX with oracle database ,we have 4 systems in our environment , all of them having almost 250 to 300 gb of data , other systems had taken almost 1 hour to complete the backup , but bi-production system had taken 12+ hours daily , we are scheduling whole database backup online + redolog backup through db13.

Please suggest me some solution for this problem.Its very critical .

Hi,

Compare the through-put of all the backup if all backups are going to the same tsm server.

Compare the parameters in the utl file like multiplexing and max sessions.

You can also show us the brbackup log and utl file parameters.

Check the network connectivity between backup server and tsm server using niping utility.
