Activate data option in DSO settings does not work ?

HI,

In SAP NW BI 7.0 When creating a Standard DSO in the settings even though "Activate data from AQT( or NDT ) to ADT and CLT " is selected , data does not move to CLT and ADT tables automatically.

Unlike ODS in SAP BW 3.5 (where the data moves to ADT and CLT tables automatically when the ODS setting is selected) We need to manually get into the context menu options of DSO and select activate data .

Is there a reason why this does not work automatically even though the setting in DSO is selected.

Hi Sunson,

In BI 7 if you are loading the DSO with a DTP then this option (Activate data automatically) will not work. we need to manually activate the data from context menu as you said.

This option will work when you are using the InfoPackage 3.x to load data. If you are loading the data via process chain then we can include the activation step. but for manual loading we need to activate via context menu.
