Hi Experts,

I am getting an error in the production system in SM21, system logs as -

Database error -913 at UPD access to table BTCCTL
> Row or object BTCCTL in R3PRODATA type *FILE in use. MSGID=
> Job=961851/PRO00/WP02. Cannot allocate member BTCCTL typ
> *FILE .
Run-time error "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" occurred
> Short dump "120216 000317 SAPPRO_PRO_00 SAPSYS " created
Transaction Canceled 00 671 ( DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR 20120216000317SAPPRO_PRO_00 SAPSYS 000 )
OPERATION MODES: Switch to operation mode VMH triggered

My system details are -

SAP Version SAP ECC 6.0/ 700

ADD ON EXCEL: SAP GUI Client

Unicode No

Kernel patch level 246

OS V6R1M0 OS/400

Machine Type 10000212

Database DB/400

Please help me out here, as I am not able to find any specific S note for solving this issue.

Hi Nizam,

the following sounds really weared:

"Cannot allocate member BTCCTL type *FILE ."

I would suggest WRKOBJLCK on this table and find out who is using that one ... Is it possible, that anybody is doing RGZPFM on it ?

This is not a normal behaviour ...

Thanks for the swift reply. But do you mean here that We have to put WORK OBJECT LOCK on this table? Also can you suggest me how to look for that user who has done an entry for this error to occur in the table? Would appreciate it as we know this is a very uncommon error.
