I read there is Java part and ABAP part in RFC adapter.
I was confued with these things. Any one can explain the functionality of these two stacks in RFC adapter

Hi Srinu ,
Remote Function Calls are ABAP programs in R/3 system. In RFC you will be having import and export parameters. Using those parameters you will pull the data from SAP system ( R/3 system ) .
As part of Java in RFC adapter , you will write a User defined function using java which invokes RFC call and gets the output as XML in XI system ( In mapping ).
