Software components of Solution Manager 7.1

Hi Gurus,

I am performing Solution Manager Upgrade from SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP1 to Netweaver 7.1

I am having two queries below.

1) I currently i have the below components, Can SAP Basis, SAP ABAP and PI BASIS have a release of 701 after the 7.1 upgrade?

or do i need to change it to 702?

2) Do I have to seperately install the JAVA Components or running the MOPZ will automatically detect the Java components along with the ABAP Components?

Hi John,

Please check if SOLMAN system is defined properly in SMSY or not.

1. Check if the ABAP and Java components are marked relevant or not.

2. Check if for Java stack, technical system is assigned

3. Once both above steps are done, check for the software component are valid in "Software Component" tab.

Hi Gurus,

I ran the MOPZ, but it showed me all the files for the upgrade, except SAP BASIS, SAP ABAP, SAP BW and PI BASIS.

I believe i have to add those files manuall? with release 702.

While running the MOPZ, i can see only the support packs of software components only for ABAP, for JAVA do i need to do something else.

If yes, then can you help me out what should be the Java version and its components??

Hello,

I think the problem could be to the definition in SMSY. The product version must be "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1" and the ABAP and Java stacks should be marked as relevant in "product instance selection".

1) For Solman 7.1 you requiere SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA and PI_BASIS 7.02. You'll find more info under http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks

2) MOPZ can calculate both java and ABAP components.

For the upgrade, kindly check the upgrade guide, under https://service.sap.com/instguides

SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager -> Release 7.1
