Assigning a Vendor to a Business partner using FLBPC1 T-code

Hi,

We are trying to Assign a Vendor to a Business partner using FLBPC1 T-code.

While assigning we are getting an error message "Vendor X is already assigned to a Business Partner X" with Message Class - CVIV_UI and message number 010.

When i checked in BUT100 Database table, yes Business partner is already created with BP Role - FLVN00. But we wanted to create a Business partner with Role - TR0602.

I see in the table BUT100, Both Business partner and BP Role are combination of key fields, Hence there can be a multiple BP roles for a single Business partner.

How to achieve the same. Please guide.

Hi Bharath,

It is not possible to create business partner with different roles from vendor.

Ex: Vendor account group (V1) - Business partner Role (BP1), you have to define these things in config of master data synchronization. It cant be 1 : n i.e. V1 - BP1,BP2,....

But you can do it in reverse manner from BP to vendor. Assign your vendor account group (V1) to business partner role (BP1,BP2 .....). Now you create BP with any role, vendor gets created in account group V1 only.
