Hi All,
We are having solution manager 7.01 installed and ERP DEV, Qty and production in our landscape.
We have added ERP DEV and Qty in MOPZ and it is working fine. In the same way when we added production cluster and started to download HR EHP5 support packs its throwing error that backend RFC not working.
When we checked the description it says backend system READ RFC is not connecting but connection test is working and authorization test failing. These RFC are created by solution manager when added backend system in SMSY and does not have user field.
My question is that how add cluster in MOPZ and how to correct the above error.
Thanks & Regards,
Sreekanth
Probably the READ Rfc's between Solman and the managed system don't exists or aren't properly working. Execute a authorization test in SM59 to check if the READ rfc is working. Creation of RFC's is mandatory to avoid issues regarding business functions activated in the switch framework. With the RFC's MOPZ will connect in the remote system to perform some checks in the switch framework to check the activated business functions.
In order to make a correct auto calculation when customer has SAP ERP 6.0-ECC server instance installed. MOPZ try to get the active switch frame work information. So, it's not mandatory to maitain the RFC for all product systems in SMSY that you run MOpz trasaction for. It's only mandatory for product system with Product version SAP ERP 6.0 and instance ECC server.
If you have active switch frame work for this ERP system while MOPZ can't get this information by valid RFC, the calculation will not be correct. That's the reason why MOPZ import this new error RFC destination is not available to get switch framework information! Message no. MOPZ_CHECKS237
To deactivate the RFC check for ERP that is not recommended by SAP, you can set the user profile parameter VALIDATION_MODE" with value "X"
You can reactivate the RFC check easily when you find you need it. Delete the user profile parameter "VALIDATION_MODE" with value "X"

Hi,
I have created RFC again through SMSY and all the RFC or working fine. And started new transaction in DSWP its still saying READ RFC to the backend is failed. For the RFC connection test is successful but authorization test is failing.
We have tried to enter user in RFC, the user field is disable we are not able to enter user.
Thanks,
Sreekanth

The user calling READ RFC should have proper authorizations in ERP system. Either get the authorization or add the proper user in READ RFC.
