BW Upgrade Phase Error Call of tx SGEN failed

Hi Experts,

We are doing BI 7.0 EHP2 upgrade(using SAPup) from BW 3.5

SAP_ABA u2013 6.40 - 24

SAP_BASIS u2013 6.40 - 24

PI_BASIS - 2006-1-640 - 8

SAP_BW u2013 3.50 - 24

To Target version of NW BI 7.0 EHP2,

During Upgrade- Downtine Phase u2013 I am getting Call of tx SGEN failed error.

could you please someone advise?

I had the same problem during an ERP 6.0 upgrade recently the code change by Naveed in this [thread|http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1697578] fixed the problem

Dear Juan,

In my BW system is not allowing for login, It say Upgrade still running ; Logon not possible, and shadow system also same as not possible, so which system and client require for this code change.

• Reexecuting SAPup with adapted environment and restart=0x3.

At this time the start of the shadow instance is not possible,

since you have passed phase STOP_SHDI_LAST!!!

You can unlock the system using TP

tp unlocksys pf=(DIR_PUT)/bin/DEFAULT.TPP

tp unlock_EU pf=(DIR_PUT)/bin/DEFAULT.TPP

Then change the code and resume.
