Solman 7.1 and SAPGUI for Windows 7.10? Does it work?

Dear managers of the solution,

I'm wondering if it is possible to use solman 7.1 with GUI 7.10? In the masterguide it seems only 7.20 is supported, but I heard rumors that 7.10 gui works just fine?

So is this only that there is no support for gui 7.10 or are there other serious issues?

Hello!

As Deepak stated before, SAP ended the support of 7.10 on 12th of April 2011. Check the support matrix:

Then, is advisable to use 7.20.

Thx for the replies,

I know about the end of support for 7.10, but my customer is not ready to roll out 7.20 yet, but still wants the solman upgrade.

So I just wanted to know if anyone has experience with 7.10 specific problems, now it seems to me it's just the lack of support issue.

Hi Kirchner,

It will work if you will use SOLMAN 7.1 with SAPGui 7.10 , but the thing is SAP GUi 7.10 is out of support from SAP side.

So you can use GUI version 7.10 but if you will face any issue with this version SAP will not give support for GUi7.10.
