Support packages in status canceled

Former Member

Hi,

In our test system (SAP Netweaver 7.00 with Oracle 10.2) we got an error upgrading the support packages SAP_APPL 15 to 19. First, we deleted de contents of table PAT01. Now these are in status canceled in transaction SPAM. When we try to

define the queue again, we get the error: No Support Packages found for this selection.

Please, can you help us with this issue?.

Regards.

Hi,

SAP_APPL is part of ECC Support pack ? Are you upgrading ECC or NW, if NW what product? Can you please paste the SP's on your system?

Did you try to reset the SPAM ? Try to reset it and re-start SP again

Hi,

Finally we have deleted the entries in table PT03 and we could continue with de SPAM, but now it has stopped in phase IMPORT_PROPER. Theoretically this problem it is going to solve with a transport, but when we try to import it, we get the next error:

OCS locked by user ADMIN with transaction SPAM

We have reseted the queue in the SPAM but the problem continue.

Are there any way to import that transport?.

Perhaps, its a good idea to raise an OSS in parallel.

Hi Arjun,

I am very grateful for your help, but now we are waiting for the OSS answer. If the don't reply tomorrow, we'll try to do your indications. Will it be neccesary to do the two things: reset the queue with OCS_RESET_QUEUE and delete the PAT03 table or we try each separately?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, its better to do both PAT03 and OCS_RESET_QUEUE.

Hi Arjun,

I'm sorry, but I just finished to check again the table PAT03, and I have found the next entries:

PATCH SHORT_TEXT STATUS DELIV_DATE DELIV_TIME IMPLE_DATE

SAPKH60015 SP 15 for SAP_APPL 6.00 ? 07.01.2009 11:01:33 13.02.2012

SAPKH60016 SP 16 for SAP_APPL 6.00 ? 20.07.2009 08:42:37 13.02.2012

SAPKH60017 SP 17 for SAP_APPL 6.00 ? 25.02.2010 16:02:29 13.02.2012

SAPKH60018 SP 18 for SAP_APPL 6.00 ? 13.08.2010 18:49:10 13.02.2012

SAPKH60019 SP 19 for SAP_APPL 6.00 ? 31.01.2011 15:07:47 13.02.2012

What do you think about to delete them?.

Yeah, please delete them from PAT03 and try SPAM again. (You can export the content of PAT03 or backup the DB before doing that)

Did you try resetting the queue using OCS_RESET_QUEUE ?

Thanks, but this table is empty. Now we are waiting for the SAP OSS answer. I'll tell you if it is useful.

Hi Arjun,

The problem of table BSEG is solved (I hope) with the transport.

We have opened a OSS message and we are going to wait their answer.

If the problem is solved, I'll tell us.

Best Regards.

Also you can try clearing the Support Pack history from Table PAT09 . Make sure you have the backup before you do this .

Let me know if that helps

The phase was XPRA_EXECUTION with the error DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY in the table BSEG. In the developer system, the developers created a transport to solve the error, but when we tried to transport it, we had to delete the content of table PAT01 before.

The last content of table PAT03 is of 2006. Do you think is neccesary to delete it?.

We have a backup, so if you think, we can try to do it.

I hope you answer, and thank very much for your help.

Regards.

Luis,

I don't think deleting entry from PAT03 will do any good, since it''s from 2006.

couple of options are

1).Run se14 transaction and adjust the database to activate the table BSEG

Please be careful while adjusting the database table.

Select the option activate and adjust database with radio button save data enabled

Restart the SPAM .

2). Since, you have backup....take an online backup of existing phase and try to reset the SPAM using OCS_RESET_QUEUE and try to restart the SPAM.

3). If it didn't work, OSS message would be better (Since, its DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY)

Arjun

Hi Arjun,

Our system is SAP ECC 6.0, we tried to reset the queue in the SPAM, but doesn't work. The main SP's are:

SAP_BASIS --> SAKB70024

SAP_ABAP --> SAPKA70024

SAP_BW --> SAPKW70026

SAP_AP --> SAPKNA70025

SAP_APPL --> SAPKH60014

What is the Error on the upgrade ? What Phase you got the error ?

1). Make sure you downloaded Right SP's

2). Uncar SP's and Load the SP's in EPS/in and Load support package---from application server.

If you have DB backup otherwise take offline DB backup and try below

3). Did you check PAT03 table ? If not check it and delete it

4). Try to set the SPAM using function Module - OCS_RESET_QUEUE and restart SP again.

http://www.basissap.com/2008/12/support-package-manager-reset-queue/

May be support pack is inconsistant..if it is a productive system, i will suggest to contact sap. Cause it will effects to database inconsistancy.

You can raise OSS message to SAP, it didn't work.

Regards,

Arjun
