Inspection lot creation

Hi All,

i have one scenario, buying same material from same vendor, in one case vendor is sending certificates and in another case he is not sending certificates.

For lot which sending certificates we r not doing quality check,but for another he is not sending I want quality check.

How to map this and what setting is required for that.

Hi Siddharth,

You donu2019t want quality check means inspection lot should not be generated or you just want to give UD without result recording. The skipping of inspection lots works fine with dynamic modification rule where certain number of lots can be skipped for which you need not inspect them. But depending upon certificate status skipping wouldnu2019t be feasible. Apart from what Sujit has suggested, try following if works for you.

1. In material master QM view assign certificate type with procurement tick activated.

2. As a result of which at the time of GR, system asks whether certificate is received or not and sets the status for inspection lot accordingly.

3. If the certificate is received status contains CROK

4. If the certificate is not received status contains CTCM

5. Have inspection plan for such materials with optional characteristics (which are not mandatory for inspection)

6. Set layout based on vendor material and status combinations.

7. Give direct UD for CROK

8. Record results for lots having status CTCM.

But if you want inspection lot should not get generated then you must go for enhancement with customized program.

if you want to control the creation of weather an inspection lot is created dependent on the any condition of the GR recommend to use the EXIT QAAT0001
