Hi All - We installed Sourcing 7.0 SP2. We are using Active Directory LDAP for our sell-side users. We have a problem with duplicate users in the LDAP. In our scenario sell-side users are added to the LDAP via the Sourcing application. We map the Sourcing userid to the sAMAccountName in the LDAP. When sell-side users are added from vendor registration or from the RFx contact add options, the LDAP distinguished name gets formatted in the following way:
CN=First Lastname,OU=Users,OU=Common,DC=abc,DC=def
This causes a problem if another sell-side user with the same first/last name is added. The LDAP rejects the 2nd user because the distinguished name already exists.
We want the distinguished userid to always be formatted as follows:
CN=UserID,OU=Users,OU=Common,DC=abc,DC=def
Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Thanks for the help (points awarded for helpful answers).

Hi Jeff,
There are no configurations in the system that would alter the behavior you are seeing, unfortunately. Using scripting as a workaround may have been already proposed. In the validate script you could incorporate your own logic for the user id so there will be no duplicates.

Vikram
