Dear friends,,

I am doing delivery w/o reference to sell scrap material. when I am saving sys. postes an error 0 kg material xxxx available.

but if in material master MRP views, in availability check field, presently the value is 02 (individual requirement), but if i change it to KP (no check), everything goes fine. material is available in MMBE..

When you change checking group to KP, no availability check is carried out which is why you aoid the error when you make that change; No check is maintained for the checking group in OVZ2.

MMBE is not a suitable transaction to check availability. You need to use CO09. For example, you may have 5 in stock, but this 5 may be confirmed to a sales order (i.e it is promised to this order), therefore leaving 0 available. However, you still have 5 in stock which is what MMBE will show.

For deliveries, checking rule B is usually used so enter CO09 with Material / Plant / B.

SAP Note 89362 explains why you should use CO09, and not MMBE in more detail.
