Solman setup

Dear Gurus...

I am new solman. i have solman installed without any client creation.what are post installation steps?

Please guide me to setup solution manger for SAP Support project and service desk . Please guide me how to setup?

Hello,

I recommend to create a new client before start the configuration. You'll be able to find the procedure for client copy here:

1630984 - Which Client Copy options to use for SAP Solution Manager to create a new Client ?

Remember use 001 as source client for users!

what version of Solution manager do you have?

if the version is 7.1

you have 2 step to do: System preparation and basic configuration (tranzaction Solman_setup)

this step configure the system

it is very simple

Thanks a lot for reply . I am using SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 .while i m starting solman_setup tcode ,browser pop ups (page can not display)

Hi,

As soon as you hit solman_setup, your browser opens and in the address bar you would get a link like:

http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app?sap-language=EN

So, goto tcode sicf on the Solution manager system, F8 and navigate to the service in the link above:

default_host -> sap -> bc -> webdynpro -> sap -> wd_sise_main_app

Right click on the service to check if its active or not. Activate and try solman_setup again.

Incase the service is active, then you need to check the proxy settings on your internet browser and also check the http port/service in tcode SMICM.

Please also check if the host name entry is present in your local PC on C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

If the entry is not present. Please add the entry.

<HOST NAME> <IP> and check

   iam new  to sap solution manger , i have installed the solution manager 7.1 properly , when iam trying to to configure solution_manger , but the thing is one browser is open but not show any thing on the browser, one popup is come and asking user name and password i enter the user name and password

but no content is visible in browesr can u please help to sort out this issue
