Hello,
Couple of question from MDG Side.
Is consolidation possible with MDG,
for example, i have my data in various ERP systems (ERP1, ERP2, SRM, CRM, ERP3) i want the data to maintained in an ERP4
which will be my central hub for data.
accordingly harmonization part of MDG from the above example ERP4 should send data back to the ERP1, ERP2, SRM, CRM and ERP3 system as in when require.
Regards,
Abhishek
Hi Abhishek
Yes you can replicate data to SAP and Non-SAP systems. Basic functionalities like duplicate check, validations are available before creating records but for data cleansing and deduplicating we need to use BODS (or SAP MDM). MDG is more of process and data governance tool than data services tool.

Hi Abhishek
SAP MDG is used for data governance, especially when you want to create new data or change existing data. MDG is used on top of single ECC system data, so consolidation cannot be done by MDG. For consolidation purpose SAP MDM can be used.
Harmonization can be done by MDG. Data replication is a important feature in MDG. The data which is created or changed, after being approved by data stewards and master data specialists is stored in masters like MARA, LFA1 and can be replicated to different systems like ECC, SRM, CRM
