External (non ECC) material master interface to SRM

Hi All,

Is there a standard way to send product data from an external system via SAP PI to SRM? Ideally I'm looking for a way to send in IDoc format where SRM will translate this into BDOC format.

Until now I've not found anything and we are trying by using FM COM_PRODUCT_MAINTAIN_MULT_API (which isn't working at the moment) and this is also not the preferred way. If we can go via IDoc or BDOC that would be much better.

No guru's out there who can help with this issue? (Nobody ever had to send products to SRM which weren't sourced from an SAP ECC system?)

Using the above mentioned FM (COM_PRODUCT_MAINTAIN_MULT_API) and taking the same source code available on the marketplace (OSS Note 810153) we're still running into issues.

When using this API we can't provide the UoM and upon saving we're receiving an error against this...

Prefered solution is still with IDoc to BDoc mapping or something standard available in PI, but I can't find any such thing. All help much appreciated!
