forum Quotes - request :-)

hi,

I've noticed that some of us quote

posts in a non standard way maybe we can

try to quote in the same way ?

(just like standard mail conventions)

http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/diverse/jargon/html/Email-Quotes.html

http://www.greenend.org.uk/rjk/2000/06/14/quoting.html

so when the original message is:

hi I have an XI problem

let's quote:

>>>>hi I have an XI problem

what's your XI problem ?

I'm sure it will be much clearer for all

if we can all use the same format

What do you think ?

Regards,

michal

Well, I use the standard quote function ("Quote Original" button on reply screen). It adds just one >.

I guess this way it's easier to do (since it's just a click) and easier to understand (one > means previous message; two >> means the message before the previous one, etc).

Henrique.

I copied the same style from you

<i>>>>LOL ))))</i>

Hi,

>>>>I think the second is better >>> with italics what do u say Mike

italics are even more visible but I guess

the standard is >>>>> only

so maybe let's leave the italics to those how want it

but make sure we use >>>> to quote the question and

not response

michal

Done

Hmmm I was expecting your reply ShaBZ

There is no need for an identity to a person like you, Mike, Bhavesh, Moorthy, Vijaya, Stefan )

But you already have a unique style, I mean ur signature
