Rakesh,

Sender Agreement is used to Bind the Communication Channel with the Sender Message Interafce.

As you know XI understands only XML data and so, Before the data hits the integration Engine of XI, it is converted into XML by the adapters ( Use the Content Conversion provided by the respoective adapters.

The mappiong program gets executed on the Java Stack, Rest of XI pipeline servives are done in the Intergration Engine.
