Change number of SLD per system

Hello,

We have recently installed the SAP XI Production server and in that i have configured the SLD.

I have also SAP XI Development server and configure the SLD over there also.

when the SAP People performed the System Analysis session before Go Live check they suggest me to have only one SLD between DEV & PRD XI server, they had supplied the required SAP note also for that.

My question is if i changed the SLD structre means configuring only One

SLD instead of Two in current scenerio, while changing the SLD is there

any side effect on the other Application part of XI or not???

of course as you will need to define

DEV technical/business systems in the PRD SLD

and create software components in the PRD SLD

if you won't do that the flows from dev will not work
