Hi,

TADIR is a very big table. And there is no description of the object type. Is there a smaller table??

I saw the table RSTLOGOPROP. But this is a table with object type from only BW.

Greetings

Hi,

alternative way is by Tcode SE03

look for object directory --> change object directory entries

in this view select any object and press F4 , it will give you list of all progm ID and object along with text in system.

You can copy and paste it to your local file for referance.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like there is an underlying table of object types and their descriptions (at least I couldn't find one) ... have a look at INCLUDE LTR_OBJECTSF02 via SE38, find the object-type you're looking for, eg:

      append_object_type 'R3TR' 'TRAN' text-105

and double-click on the "105" part of text-105 to see its description.  I guess if you're writing a program you can include the INCLUDE and call the form to get back an internal table of the info.
