Setting Profile Parameter

After a fair amount of searching, I still don't have a solution. This should be an easy answer.

I need to change the abap/buffersize.

I go to RZ10

Select my profile (SPD_DVEBMGS00_BPCNW)

Select Basic Maintenance

Click Change

I modify ABAP Programs from 300000 to 2000000

The Profile vlaue > BUT SAVE IS DISABLED

I'm logged in as ddic in client 000.

Sometimes I receive an error about not making changes with DDIC, so I've tried SAP* and received similar messages.

I had to create abap/buffersize parameter in Extended maintenance and set it to 2000000. Clicking 'back' prompted me to save, which I did. Now I have the parameter set to the right size.

Thanks for pointing me to Extended maintenance.

Another case of check your assumptions. Because the buffer size was showing 300000 in Basic maintenance, I assumed the parameter was alreay created. And I assumed, because Extended maintenance wasn't showing abap/buffersize, that this screen was showing me different settings than basic.

Select the option extended maintenance and change the values.
