Regarding QM plant settings

Dear all

In QCCo plant levelsettings for QM in the tab of general settings there is a field for inspection lot search Selection time period

What is the use of this filed

Kindly explain

From the F1 help on the field:

Selection Period for Inspection Lot Processing in Days

Use

To calculate the starting date of the selection time period, the value you enter here is subtracted from the current date.

Example

Selection time period: 10 calendar days

Current date: 9/15/93 (September 15, 1993)

The starting date for the selection time period is 9/5/93.

This means that the system, when a date is relevant for the selection of inspection lots, proposes a time period with the 5th of September as the starting date (calculated) and the current date (15th of September) as the end date.

If you do not enter a value in this field, the starting date of the selection time period is the same as the end date, which is the current date.

This is primarily used in the QA32/33 and QE51n screens to establish the date range for the lot creation field. These values of course can be set using a transaction variant or a user variant. In absence of any variants, it will use this field to calculate the date range.
