Changing Datatype not reflecting in message mapping step in IDE (NWDS)

Hi All,

I've change an existing data type by naming some of the elements differently and I did that at the data type level. The file is in check out and created an activity. But not checked in yet.

This data type is already been used in one mapping step. I did a build of the entire project DC where this mapping is used but still the changes to the data type is not reflected in mapping. When does a change in data type reflects in the mapping?

thx

mike

maybe you have to reimport the xsd.

Thanks John. I re-imported the xsd with the changed element names and build the project again where it is used in a mapping step. But still no luck. The mapping step holds the previous data type element names instead of new ones..

this is killin me

any help?

Hi John,

My basic question is this - If we've a data type used in multiple places of a process, when we change the data type elements to a different name and SAVE by creating an activity (just check out), will the change reflect in all places where this data type is used? If so, it's not happening in my IDE

please help

thx
