Error message: Capacity requirement is invalid - Message no. /SAPAPO/OM601

I tried to change Resource type in APO from "Multi-mixed" to "Single". After this, I am getting error when I am trying to create planned order in APO. Details are as follows.

Work center in ECC was setup with flag "Can be used by several

operations".When this work center was integrated to APO, resource with

resource category "Multi-mixed" created in APO .

Now, we wanted to change this resource to Resource type"Single". So, we

unchecked the flag "Can be used by several operations" in ECC and

integrated work center and PDS.

Now, when I try to create PP/DS planned orders (Manually as well in

planning run) in product view for materials that use this resource in

APO, I am getting the following error.

Capacity requirement is invalid

Message no. /SAPAPO/OM601

I found an SAP note 924562. This note says resource type changes are

currently not supported in APO. However, it does not say how this error

can be fixed and allow us to create planned orders in system.

Can you please e-mail me steps I should follow to fix this error and be

able to create planned orders?

I had put the flag "Can be used by several operations" back on and

integrated work center and PDS again. This did not help fix the issue.

Dear Srini,

After setting the flag back, you can delete the blocked queue then run report RIMODINI to transfer the work center and PDS to APO again.
