quantity for sample

Hi All,

i have scenario in real time that once GRN done we took X quantity for sample test, and put in another place (for eg ,storage location for sample).

My first question is it possible we can put in storage location?How to map in SAP

In the QM plant configuration you can define a storage location to be used for sample retains. Once you define that, on the stock posting screen of the inspection lot, that storage loction should be the default storage location for your sample stock posting line.

you mean to say in SPRO Maintain Settings at Plant Level-inspection lot completion tab-Stor.loc. for reserves?

Even I maintained stor. Loc there there. while doing UD its showing that stor. Loc in in UD stock posting tab to Reserve.

But I give qtn their its taking with MVT 350 to blocked stock.

Please let me know this is correct.

Why to blocked stock and not reserves? SAP set up reserves to store these kept samples. Whats the business reason to not use it?
