VT02N blocked by same user

Hi All,

I have come across an issue from user, while in VT02N processing from planning till shipment completion and save then user get an error "user xxxx already processing xxx document" in shipment list. That user has not opened other sessions yet.

This is happening every alternate day. Any help pls?

It's just timing. It takes some time (which fluctuates based on the system load, moon phase and 1001 other factors) to complete the updates. Even when transaction ends, there are still some updates still running in background. During that time the document is still locked by the same user ID. Output processing is usually one of those updates. There could also be a custom table update in a user exit. All this could cause such effect.

This can happen in any document in SD. I wouldn't be alarmed if this doesn't cause problems. Otherwise contact Basis admin and/or ABAP developer. They can set up trace to see what exactly is going on.

Check any user exit changes were moved recently? looks like its checking authorizations once again with in the user exit based on some conditions.

another point : after that error, if user try do do same in new session then it creates shipment succesfully.

your error block error , so its same user block comes , it you mistake , when you log off the sap , on that time their is any program its running , on that time you can sign off , so when you log off sap it correct process , other wise comes to same error

please contact your basis consultant , he will remove the this data, ofter comes normally,
