BW 3.5 FEP 10 is available.

We have prototyped on a few computers, and the issue with the above mentioned 2 "OCX" controls has been resolved.

Kind Regards,

We have the exact same error.

We have also patched the SAPSetup installation server to PL: SAPSETUP90P1SP00_5-20008539.

We have 3 errors in our Check SAP Gui Installation:

Component Workstation Check Component $SAP BEX XLA is in error. It has not been successfully installed.

File Workstation Check Not Available C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SapGui\VisPDF.dll C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SapGui\VisPDF.dll 0x800407d7

Component Workstation Check Component $ECL Viewer DLLs is in error. It has not been successfully installed.

{8D0C67D4-CB59-4C11-919B-5FA424FBD61A} 0x80004005

We were going from SP4 to SP9/BI500/BW8.

We also see the same 2 controls fail when attempting to register (wdbz.ocx/wdbex.ocx).

In regards to these...found related OSS Note: 1540916 and 1276466.

Have open message w/SAP Support. If we make progress, we'll update this thread accordingly.

Hello ,

Kindly check reply from SAP

The problem is solved with new frontendpatch BW 3.x FEP10. Please refer

to note 1540916 (SAPBWNews NW 7.x BW Add-On Frontend Patch 600 -GUI7.20.). According note 1118754 it is announced for CW08/2012, FEP10 may be

not available right now, you can wait for its release.

Be informed there is a precorection FEP9 via note 1677948 available.

(Currently you can not see this note).

This hotfix (not available in the SAP SMP) may not used productively

as it is not tested like other frontend patchs which are available

in SAP SMP. So I recommend to wait till FEP10 is released.

You can refer to note 1091323 and find the patch:

NWSapSetup is version 9.0.1.11 (patch level 10). The problem still exists.

I believe the latest patch is higher than that.

This file (SAPSETUP90P1SP00_5-20008539.EXE ) brings the version up to

9.0.1.15.

Please run nwsapsetupadmin.exe and update your server with this patch.

Jude
