How to Install EHP5 in easy steps ?.mail

I have successfully installed ECC6 along with MS SQl Server 2008. Now My question is that how can I install EHP5. I have all the dvds and I do not need to download from market place.

Soloution Manager required OSS connection to generate stack xml file but I did not have static ip to connect with sap.

Please guide me in this connection.

Shahid,

You could have installed SAP ECC 6 with EHP5 directly instead of installing ECC6 and EHP5 upgrade.

Check out the steps mentioned in the official SAP Document:

How to Install EhP5 for ERP 6.0

You need to generate XML file from the Solution Manager for troublefree installationof EHP5.

Open the EHPI tool and follow the steps in the installation guide, EHP5 upgrade guide tells the upgrade from lower version or stack that only through EHPI tool.

So now my question i>. Does EHP5 already install as described above said link so no need to install seperately.

Since you have already installed ECC 6.0, you would need to download the EHP5 files from Solution Manager to proceed further. For this, you would need to get ur OSS connection working.

I would suggest you to consider re-installation of ECC 6 EHP5 system if you have the installation files available.

Check the software components versions from SPAM or System --> Status to know if you have installed with ECC with EHP
