Button text translation in Webdynpro

Hi,

I've a requirement in Webdynpro, in one of the view a button is designed the English text of the button is 15 char length.

now it has to be transalated to French text which is of 30 length.

can somebody help me how to do and also issues if any

SOTR_EDIT is the best option for your case.

U can maintain texts using the tcode SOTR_EDIT..Specfy the language(EN) while creating the text and that text will appear when the user logins with the respected language say (EN).

Secondly you have to convert it in to your respected language . For that OTR: Change Concept ->GOTO->TRANSLATION. There you can translate the OTR which you have created. So two copies of the same OTR will exist say (EN and DE).

The translated text will appear for the button if the user logins with two different languages .

Instead maintaining text directly in button text property, declare the text through OTR variables, We can easily translate the OTR texts into any language...

Depends upon the logon language OTR will display in corresponding language
