Service Contract Cancellation - WV

I am not able to cancel the service contract.

Am getting this message " The next possible cancellation date is 04.05.2013"

how to resolve it?

You need to create a Z cancellation procedure for "CS Cancel from the acceptance date".Ex-Z006 And then use it.By that in the line level contract data tab when you update the cancellation procedure to Z006 and then update the acceptance date to ur desired date for cancellation.Then once you press enter, In the contract overview sceen you can see the Contract End date being updated your desired date of cancellation.

For your requirement, the cancellation rule (TCode VOVL) should have following characteristics:

Canc.date	02	Contract Start Date
Notice	1-
Canc.unit	1	Day
Canc.period	1
Period unit	3	Month

Further, I believe you will not be able to see any change in config for the current contract. To test these any new configuration change you might need to create new contract and try.

Try with changing the validity to date of contract to 04.02.2012 or 06.02.2012.

is the 06.02.2013" Copy cancelation date?

It's not allowing in current date.

There is any setting in Contract Profile?

If you are changing existing configuration and trying in existing doc, will not help .

As new changes will not have any effect on existing contract doc.

If you want to try the new config, go for in new contract processing.

Yes it is, 3 rules are coming at the time of cancellation.

For your requirement it should come as 0001 - Cancel. up to 1 wk after contract start.

So, try

Cancellation proced.

0001

Cancl to ValidPrdEnd, yrly withdrwlRight

in your contract profile.

Cancellat.proc. MAHN is not a standard procedure.

Try tommorow, you will not get the error.

I don't have much idea on this.

Use Tcode VORB - Define Reference Sales Document Types for Service Contract - WV, say, MK.

Then TCode VOV8 - Sales doc type Service Contract - WV, check the Contract profile, say 0002

Now TCode VOVR - check Contract prof. 0002 and under Cancellation proced take note of Assignment cancellation procedure/cancellation rule, say, 0002 Cancel w/ 3 months notice and yr renewal.

Now, you can flow following path in SPRO:

IMG - SD - Sales - Contracts - Contract Data - Control Cancellation

Then Check the in TCode VOVN - check Assign Cancellation Rules And Cancellation Procedures

Cnacellation Procedure	Cancellation Rule	Decs
0002	0001	Cancel. up to 1 wk after contract start
0002	0003	Cancel w/ 3 months notice and yr renewal

Now refer Tcode VOVL for cancellation rule. This incidates level at which a contract may be initialted for termination

Cancellat.rule	0003 Cancel w/ 3 months notice and yr renewal
Canc.date	08 Contract Start Date + Contract Validity Period
Notice	3-
Canc.unit	3 Month
Canc.period	1
Period unit	4 Year

Therfore for your error,

The next possible cancellation date is 04.05.2013

cancellation rule (VOVL) & Contract validity period plays a vital role.
