Gurus,

We have to retire old user ids, how do I find out which all jobs are scheduled on specific user names and how do I go about changing those to background user ids?

Thanks

AK

Hi

Please follow the below steps

1) open SM37

2) in selections, give * for job name and user name

3) select scheduled and released

4) remove the from and to dates

execute.

you can sort out based on user id.

select the job to which you want to change user name.

in menu bar --> job --> change

click on change user, give the required user name and save.

Thanks Guys,

I know the job BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER is for scheduled process chains, what are the following jobs for.....

BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG

BI_PROCESS_ABAP

and only the jobs starting with BI are relevant to BW correct?

Thanks,

AK

hi,

i believe you want to change the owners for background job,

by SM37 by giving that specific userid you can find all the jobs related to that, and now if you want to change the owner you can do by :

for the job then choose menu Job->Change-> go to Steps.

then select the user ->Change user-> Save. .

also there is another way as suggested in below thread:

hope it helps

Hi,

Go to TCODE SM37, select the job schedule and put * on jobname and user; you will get all the schedule job name.

Hi,

If you know the old user id's, then;

1. Go to SM37

2. Job Name *

3. User Name = old user id

You will get the jobs scheduled with that user id.

Then copy those jobs and schedule them as needed with the required user id. Cancel the job's which are scheduled with old user id's.

Hi,

Just select the job and then click on change button on the menu bar. then on step user give any user name on which you want to schedule the job.

if you want to complete remove the job on existing user. Just follow the procedure mentioned by Sunil.

After that delete the job schedule on retire ids.
