Solution Manager 7.1 SP3 Wily Agent Setup :Problem getting VMManager

Hi All,

While performing Byte Code Adapter Installation setup under

Solman_setup->Managed system Config->Configure Auto i am getting below error:

Operation Failed - XYZ - 31092410 - java.rmi.RemoteException: Problem

getting VMManager; nested exception is:

com.sap.smdagent.vmmanager.VMManagerP4Exception:

com.sap.smdagent.plugins.connectors.p4.exceptions.P4AuthorizationException: Access is denied to SAP System sid [XYZ/01]: check the connection

credentials.More details about the error in agent 'grtass12' log file

(SMDAgentApplication.X.log).; nested exception is:

com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException: Cannot

authenticate the user.

We changed the settings in Agent admin-> Application config ->

coam.sap.smd.agent.application.connectors ->

vmmanager.test.vm.before.update to false. Restarted the agent. But

still this did not solve the issue.

Please suggest.

Hi Rohan,

Check if the user and password provided in the steps 5 "enter system parameters" are correct.

Also, go to the step Create users and ensure that the credentials for the users in this step are correct.

This should solve the issue.

I was new to solman 7.1 so i did not executed the Create user step. its because of you i have solved the below issue also.
