Hello,
We are planning to do a migration from XI 3.0 to 7.3 means that we are installing a new 7.3 system.
The idea is to create transports in XI 3.0 PRD and to import them into 7.3 DEV.
But what about the SLD. We copy the content from old SLD for 3.0 to new SLD for 7.3.
If we will import the transport of ID objects to PI 7.3 DEV what do we have to consider to enable the system to accept the
import?
From my understanding the system would check for transport groups and will try to replace the imported BS of a scenario
as done in a standard logic transporting from XI DEV to XI Q.
Your ideas are welcome!
Regards
Dirk
Hi,

can you export ID from Q env ? this will make it much easier

Hi Michal,
Unfortunately this is no option!
There are only XI DEV and XI PRD.
And on XI DEV there are some developments in progress, that cannot be moved to PI 7.3 as this would stop some interfaces already running in PRD environment (Yes, I know, but the partner didnt ... but version management is not in place. So the PRD interfaces are rebuilt in DEV in the same SWCV same namespace......).

Hi,
>>>Unfortunately this is no option!
have no fear - Michal is here
you can do it like this:
a) export ID from PRD (with PRD business systems)
b) change SLD so it will point PRD -> DEV - transport targets (this is quick)
c) import into DEV
d) change SLD back so it will point - DEV - PRD again
*e) make your client install test PI in the near future

Michal Krawczyk
- it's a good practice
