Hello everybody,
when I am trying to apply SAPM SAPKD64043 it give the error message
Runtime Error CALL_FUNCTION_NOT_ACTIVE
Except. CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC
What happened :
The function module "OCS_GET_LATEST_Q" is called, but cannot be found in its function group.
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "RSSPAM07" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Please suggest how to correct the same
Thanks
Ganesh

Hey Ganesh,
As this error occured during the SPAM update, you first need to repair Transaction SPAM. You can only do this on the operating system level.
Proceed as follows (it is assumed that the transport request containing the SPAM update is called SAPKD000XX. Also, is the name of the affected SAP system and is the name of your transport domain (see Transaction STMS) a) On operating system level, log on as the user who administrates the affected SAP system (adm under UNIX, OFR under OS400).
b) Change to the subdirectory 'bin' in the transport directory.
c) Start: tp addtobuffer sapkd000xx u1 pf=TP_DOMAIN_.PFL d) Start: tp import sapkd000xx pf=TP_DOMAIN_.PFL
Also I would like to suggest to apply the latest Kernel.. once you are done with the above steps and I hope it will solve your issue.. Further help on tp can be checked in 155350 SAPnote..
Enjoy !!

Hello,
There's a new version (SAPKD64045) for 6.40. Why don't you install it instead of version 43???
Cheers,
Diego.

Hi,
We sometimes do get runtime errors during SPAM upgrade.
If you are able to acess SPAM transaction, just continue with the upgrade.

Sonia

Hi,
Please check these for more clarity
stms_import --> goto --> tp log
also check the log of SPAM transport which are failed
spam --> import log of queue (probably 3rd icon from trolly icon)
spam --> action log of queue (probably 4th icon from trolly icon)
Most of the time your answers are hidden in these logs
but before that, just run the spam once more, sometime it goes in 2nd run.
