EEM 7.1 Setup

Hi All,

We are in phase of implementing Solution Manager 7.1 system on HP-Unix and Oracle database in our environment.

After System setup we need to configure EEM on the server, Afte searching a lot I have found one useful link

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EEM/InstallationGuide7.1 which gives me idea of how EEM can be setup.

But I have below two douubts now to complete this activity:

1) This SDN link does not say about Agent ( Robots) Installation which I think we need to install in different regions for EEM setup. So please suggest how can software of this Agent can be find as Under solution Manager I do not see any software available for this.

2) SDN document says only to execute work centre wizard to complete EEM set up in solman system, So I want to know is there any steps also that need to be done to complete EEM setup or workcentre steps are sufficient in solman 7.1 for EEM.

If possible please give me path of any SAP standard EEM configuration guide also as I do not find it on Markeplace.

Hello,

1. Please istall the Robots in the the different locations, follow the setup guide attached to SAP Note 1448655 - Inst. 7.30 - Diagnostics Agent installation

2. Go to transaction solman_setup -> Technical Monitoring -> End-User Experience and run the 8 steps of the guided procedure.

3. Go to solman_workcenter -> Technical Monitoring -> End-user Exp. Monitoring -> Monitoring and review scripts and robots running.

4. Go to Scenario Reports and SLA and review you have all the corresponding reports.

Hi Shivam,

the agetns are the normal E2E diagnostic agents which you will find in the software downloads section of "Service.sap.com".

also the steps shown in the "Solution Manager Configuration workcenter" for setup of EEM are enough.

There should be some more documentation there you can refer.
