Hello Folks,

For a particular Manufacturing Plant XXXX in APO, we are facing this problem:

1) When we go to "Capacity View" planning book in SNP & feed in the selection as :

_________________________________

APO Resource

Location = XXXX

Model = 000

________________________________

It gives a list of all Resources in the left Panel.

Next when we double click on any one YYYY of this resource we get the Keyfigure "Capacity Consumption" in the main book. Here "Capacity Consumption" in Hours are shown for all products maintained for this Resource YYYYat this location XXXX.

The total Hrs for Capacity Consumption for all these products should aggregate & show as total Hours. Unfortunately the total is not correct. The total hours for Capacity Consumption is always more than the total hours for listed products.

2) The Business said that they had recently changed a few Resources & PPM at this location XXXX & ever since this issue had surfaced.

3) This incorrect Capacity Consumption is noticed onl;y for this single plant XXXX for all resources listed; However for all other plants the total is perfect match of the summation of all listed product's Capacity Consumption.

Any pointers would be heartily appreciated.

Hello Kumar,

SNP master data needs to be updated after APO master data is changed.

Please refer to consulting note 1331576.

So after you have made changed to APO master data, it is suggested that:

1)You run SNP planning area/planning version initialization for all affected PAs and PVs.

2)You run consistency checn report /sapapo/ts_lcm_cons_check, and repair any detected inconsistency until all checks are with green status. Try to aovid parallel processing in this report.

If you do nothing (interactive Planning, Planning Run, Optimizer, ...) between APO master change and step 1), you'll also need to first run report /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_QUEUE_UPDATE before step 1).

Hi Ada,

Thanks for your response.

As suggested by you & the "SAP Note 1331576 - Initialization and Delta Handling for SNP Master Data" we had run SNP Consistency check which yielded a few RED icons.

But the issue didn't resolve thereafter.

For this particular location XXX1 there are 25 number RESOURCES. Out of these 23 are showing correct aggegration of Capacity Hours for all products listed under them.

However for 2 Resources the aggregation (summation) of resource is not correct.

Please let me know if you can suggest some other reasons for this.

Hi Kumar,

Have you run report /sapapo/ts_lcm_cons_chek once again after you see the RED icons?

Did you get the result all GREEN ?

Please first make sure no inconsistency exists, expecailly on aggregates 9ARE, 9AMARE, and 9AMALORE.

And how difference between the aggrgated data and the total of individuals?

Have you considered rounding effect?

On your behest I did Cons check again for :

Version = 000

(.) Log

(.) Repair

( ) Lock PLanning Version

(.) Check Live Cache Anchor

This time it yielded all GREEN outcomes. There were no RED icons.

The difference is showing up for just 2 out of 25 RESOURCES. I couldn't spot any TREND in them.

For example :

1) There are 5 products listed under this Resource : for certain time-buckets the aggregateTOTAL HRS is exactly equal to the indiciual HRS listed Productwise; however for certain time-bucket only TOTAL HOURS are shown but no HRS under any Products!

2) For another Resource the TOTAL HRS is much bigger than the aggregate total of the products wise HOURS.
