SAPInst ERROR - Export Creation in NW ERP 2005 / MS SQL / WIN 2K

Hi,

I am fasing a prolem during the Export prepartion for my project in Non unicode --> Unicode conversion phase. I did all the pre-req't for Unicode conversion phase - During the converstion phase creation of Export - Fasing this problem executing SAPInst with the following error log -- Any one kindly help me how to solve this issue. This is most urgent.

hi there,

facing almost the same problem, only with a different error in sapinst.log. The installation is on W2K3 x64, using a local <sid>adm account with full admin rights. The db to be exported is running on a named instance, the details of which I enter after getting the error message that "Cannot connect to undefined Error(s) returned: SQL Server does not exist or access denied. Check that you specified the correct name for the database server, that the server is running and you are authorized to log on to it." After the named instance details are entered, sapinst halts with the following log entries:

I've this error too:

Cannot connect to undefined

Error(s) returned:

SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Check that you specified the correct name for the database server, that the server is running and you are authorized to log on to it.

follow this steps.

1) Logon to server @ OS level.

2) go to "my computer" (right click) > "manage" > "Local users" .

3) check wthr there is any user with "SBXADM" and has necessary authorizations ("administrator")

4) check wthr the service "SAPServiceSBX" is up and running, to do this... execute "service.msc" @ "run" and check.
