migrating content from sap xi 3.0 to sap pi 7.1

Hello:

Do you know if it's possible migrate PI objects (Data Types, Msg Types, Interfaces, etc) vía export/import between two PI systems? The source system is a xi 3.0 system and the target is a PI 7.1 system.

of couse it is - there are a few blogs which show what you need to consider
