Compare documents between two Implementation projects

Hi All,

Is there any way to compare and merge two documents from two different Implementation Projects in SolMan?

None of these solution work for my scenario

So fare we have created

1) Template Project

- In Template Project we have uploaded bunch of documents in General Doc tab

2) Created two implementation projects (Impl1 and Impl2)

- In both projects we copied documents from General Doc Tab to Project Doc tab. So both Implementation Projects have same documents in Project documentation tab

3) Now one team has updated documents in Impl 1 project and

4) Second team has updated documents in Impl2 project

Now we want to achieve below

a) Find out what documents have been changed in both projects

b) Compare all changed documents between these two projects. So for example in Proj 1 - 1st team has changed Create Material Document and in Proj 2 - 2nd team also has changed Create Material Document. Now we would like to compare Create Material Document from Proj 1 and Proj 2

c) after the comparison if we find any changes, would like to merge both documents so we can have only one consolidated document.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Hi Shaun,

You can go to "Implementation/Upgrade" workcenter --> Reports --> Business Blueprint --> Assignments --> Documentation(Click on report besides it) and select the relevant project and click on Generate. This will display all the nodes where the documents are attached. Download the "Excel" view for the project. You can perform sililar activity for both the projects and then compare. You can also click on a particular document which will take to the solar01 screen of the respective project, henceforth can add documents by slecting source as existing Solution Manager Project, wherever necessary. This wont exactly serve your purpose but will certainly reduce the efforts involved to compare

Hi

we can compare the documentation using solar_eval -> configuration -> assignements -> documentation.

I believe merging doc from diff project wont posible using standard methods, but you can try using your own z code
