SAINT *** Import Queue Addon Conflicts***

Hi Experts,

I have to apply support packages in Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1.

Currently the status of SOLMAN package levels are:-

SAP_ABA 701 0005 SAPKA70105

At this stage when I tried to update support packages (SAP_BASIS/SAP_BW/SAP_ABA/ST400.....) below message received-

In the queue there are Support Packages that require the installation or

upgrade of software component versions.

Component Release Note required by Support Package

ST-SER 701_2010_1 n.a. SAPKITL433

I have downloaded required components. After downloading I have uncared components and put it to trans\EPS\in folder.

After Going through SAINT-> Load Packages -> Application server

I can see following components in SAINT.

Add on Release Description Package Type

ST-A/PI 01M_CRM570 Application service tools*500-701 Installation

ST-SER 701_2010_1 ST-SER 701_2010_1 Add on Upgrade Upgrade

Then, I pressed continue by selecting add on component. I defined and calculate the target OCS package.

By pressing Start button, I continued import of the queue. I am running support package queue in background. I got issue on Add on conflicts and checked import logs . Now, system is hanging and doesn't open new session.

I really appreciate the useful information being shared here.

Hi,

Did you checked your redo log got fiull. this is what we normally the reason for system hangs during the upgrade.

How can I checked Redo Log (MAXDB).

Check in database manager GUI whether log area is full or not. If it is full then take backup.

Hello,

What's your SPAM and kernel version?? Have you checked all the known errors in the note: 822379 - Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.0x AS ABAP ??

You have to use the latest SPAM and kernel to avoid problems.

- Upgraded Spam/Saint level (7.01/0044)

- Upgraded kernel ** Db & Db indep **patch number is 150 in linux x86_64 bit compiled for 64 bit.

I went throughly SAPNOte 822379/822380/69455/1244225 .....But, from SAPNOte 1274287 *** I figureout missing components in BI_CONT (SAPK-70404INBICONT - SAPK-70409INBICONT) ***.

If I encounter with any issue, I will inform you,
