SAP BW Precalculation Service Couldn't Start

Hi All,

I have a problem with installation "SAP BW Precalculation Service" on Windows Server 2008 R2 VM Ware.

I already installed :

SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 (Compilation 3)

BW 3.50 Add-On for SAP GUI 720

Business Explorer

SAP BW Precalculation Service

After installed, I try to start "SAP BW Precalculation Service Multi Instance", in Service Windows (services.msc).

But, the service could not start with message error :

"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

Please, follow the instructions below on your Precalculation Server, in

order to fix the issue:

• Go to Windows -> Start -> Run -> REGEDIT

Navigate on:

• My Computer

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

• SYSTEM

• CurrentControlSet

• Control

In "Control" folder, create a new entry (DWORD VALUE) and assign the

name "ServicesPipeTimeout".

Now, double click on "ServicesPipeTimeout", select Base = Decimal and

set the value data to 90000. Close the regedit and reboot the

workstation.

Now try to start the precalculation server. The service should work

now.
