Integration with FTP proxy server using File / FTP adapter

Hi All,

Did anyone worked or come across SAP PI 7.3 Integration with FTP proxy server using File / FTP adapter?

Any kind of info on this will be helpfull

I know that's in german tounge, i give to you a little translation:

If the integration server is not directly, but you need to use an HTTP proxy server, the following parameters must be set:

XI.proxyHost = <proxyHostname>

XI.proxyPort = <proxyPortnumber>

This <proxyHostname> is the host name and proxy <proxyPortnumber> the port on which the proxy accepts HTTP requests (eg. 8080).

Thank you for your Quick response.

The Link which you have provided is talking about PI proxy server but FTP Proxy server.

I have to integrate FTP Proxy server using SAP PI.

Did you find any solution to the Firewall Proxy?

I am on PI 7.4 and need to send a file via FTP to external partner but firewall proxy is in between.

As per latest SAP's document, FTP Proxies are now supported but i can't seem to find place to enter my Proxy user ID and password.

Hello Saif,

Try to use the SFTP adapter instead.

On this adapter you can set the proxy username and password.

Yeah sFTP adapter allows you to add user ID and pwd but FTP does not and that's pretty strange

Our external vendor is expecting the files on FTP (with PGP) so sFTP may not work.

I have opened a message with SAP as well, lets see what they have to say.

The way SAP has been marketing this "New Feature" may have its own quirks

Hi Michal,

I'm trying to use the PI 7.31 Receiver File Adapter to connect a public FTP thru an FTP Proxy but I don't find any place in the communication channel config to set the Proxy username and password.

Do you know if this is possible?

With which credentials is PI connecting to the FTP Proxy. Is it anonymously?

just to let you know PI 7.31 has a FTP proxy :

maybe you can ask SAP for downgrade - if you're working with a big client that might be possible
