GRC 5.3 - CUP with only one rule set

Dear All,

Currently I am using GRC5.3 and planning to implement the CUP. In our CUP workflow, we have included the Risk and Analysis. However, in our design, we have multiple ruleset. For example, 1 ruleset per country.

Somehow in our scenario when country A user raise a request for ID creation and this request should go for A ruleset only and when Country B user raise a reqeust for ID creation and this request should go for B ruleset.

Realized that in GRC 5.3 - CUP can can only cater for one rule set ... is anyone know about the solution for this ?

How about the CUP in GRC 10 ( a.k.a Provision and Manage Users ) ? Can GRC 10 cover the scenario above ?

Best Regards,

Ken

Hi,

you can run the rsk analysis against multible rule sets in GRC10, but not in GRC5.3.

IN GRC 5.3 you can run the risk analysis against only one rule set. ie ..custom rule set/default rulest.. depends on the misillineous settings> rule set> global/custom rule set.

Arjuna.

Hi ken,

In GRC10, you can run analysis against multiple rulesets as part of the access request process.

However, if you want the risk analysis to be generated automatically (be very careful as can cause performance issues in the submission / delivery of the request to approvers), it will still run against the ruleset defined in the default settings.

Hello,

Yes, in CUP the default rule set is used for Risk Analysis.

This point has been discused here :

Also you might want to check the option of logical / physical systems as described here:

Cheers,

Diego.
